Reviewing the Report
The report has three sections. Each section serves a different purpose.
Unit Stay Section
The top section of the report is a summary of total units (beds) filled in ShelterPoint during the entire reporting period. Each row is one day during the reporting period. It includes the total units (beds) filled, along with a breakdown of genders.
The last two rows include a row for total bed nights during the reporting period and a row for unduplicated clients served during the reporting period.
Client Detail Section
The middle section of the report is a daily review of the bed list. The information appearing in this section can be adjusted via the the drop down menu in the Unit Stay title section (see step 5 above in the Running Daily Unit Report section of this guide). Each row in this section is a specific client and does include when the client was added to the bed list and if the client was removed from the bed list that specific date.
This section can be helpful for users to see daily details of which clients were new, exited, &/or utilizing the beds to confirm details of other reports used by the agency. This report can also be used with other HMIS reports if the project needs to identify which clients have an Entry/Exit but no document Shelter stay service (i.e. clients were not properly entered into ShelterPoint).
Overall Statistics
This final section of the report is a daily review of the overall total of units in use, total new clients added to ShelterPoint, and total clients removed from the bed list. The information appearing in this section can be adjusted via the the drop down menu in the Unit Stay title section (see step 5 above in the Running Daily Unit Report section of this guide).
