This article assists HMIS users in running the Hashed HMIS CSV Report. This report is available to all users and reporting groups for de-identified data exports and is used for Eva Data Quality reviews.
Hashed HMIS CSV
The Hashed HMIS CSV report is a dashboard (or "canned") report in HMIS. This means that any agency user with a Reporting Group can pull this report.
Hashed HMIS CSV report: running the report
- Set Enter Data As
- Select Reports on the left-hand menu to open the report dashboard
- Under Custom Reports, click on Hashed HMIS CSV
- Click on the Start New Export button
- Complete the report prompts.
- Type in a name that will remind you what project & purpose is for this report
- Select the appropriate Entry Data Type (Either HUD, PATH, Standard, or VA)
- Select the appropriate Provider Type
- Select the appropriate Reporting Group
- Start Date: Enter the first day of the reporting period
- End Date: Enter the last day of the reporting period
- Click Run Export
- Refer to "Exports Scheduled in the Last 30 Days" section at the top of the screen for completed report.
- Click Refresh to monitor the status of report.
- Click Magnifying Glass once Report Status column shows "Complete"
- Click Download Results to open the report
*Provider Groups can be created by Data Center staff upon request
Uploading the Report to EVA
HUD has developed a Data Quality tool called EVA that uses the Hashed HMIS CSV export to guide data corrections.
- Go to https://hmis.abtsites.com/eva/
- Select Click Here to Get Started on the Home Page.
- Click on the Browse button to upload your Hashed HMIS CSV file
- Click on Assess Data Quality then System-level
- Click on Download Structure Analysis Detail to download your report
- The error report will provide you with information regarding the errors found and the details associated with each error
