ShelterPoint: Exiting &/or Removing Household Members

There are times when family members exit a project before the rest of the family &/or times when a household member is no longer a member of the household (i.e. divorce, family member dies, etc.) This tip sheet is designed to assist HMIS users with how to exit a family member from a project from ShelterPoint without impact other members' project stay and how to permanently remove a family member from a household within the Household Tab.

This tipsheet is specific for projects using ShelterPoint.

 

Exiting a household member from the Bedlist & Project before the rest of the household

  1. Select Enter Data As provider
  2. Click ShelterPoint
  3. Select correct Unit List and then click Submit

  4. Click View All to see all clients checked in to the shelter
  5. Click on red minus on shelter bed list to the left of the client's name who is exiting the the project. ShelterPoint_checkout_button.png
  6. Enter the Date Out (exit date) for the client and filled out the Reason for Leaving and Destination Fields ShelterPoint_Date_Out.png
  7. Click the uncheck all other household members, except the exiting client (only the exiting client should have a checked box) ShelterPoint_checkbox_out.png
  8. Complete the exit assessment for the exiting client and click Save and Exit
